We're Blooming Together

Dear Rollingwood Families,

Happy April and welcome to a brand-new edition of the Rollingwood Academy Newsletter! With spring in full bloom, our campus is buzzing with energy, curiosity, and new beginnings. This month’s update is full of wonderful highlights—from classroom happenings to upcoming events—that showcase the creativity, growth, and joyful learning happening each day. We’re excited to share all that’s unfolding this season at Rollingwood!

Spring Tea Party Invitation

You're invited to join us for a sweet spring celebration! On April 11th at 11:30 AM, we’ll kick off our Spring Tea Party with a fun-filled egg hunt, followed by a cheerful potluck-style tea party. It’s the perfect way to welcome the season together!

We’d love for the children to come dressed in their “Sunday Best”—think pretty dresses, bonnets, gloves, ties, bow ties, or any outfit that makes them feel special and festive.

If you plan to take your child home after the event, please let their teacher or a staff member know ahead of time so we can help make the handoff smooth and easy.

We can’t wait to celebrate the joys of spring with our Rollingwood families!

Spring Break Reminder

Spring Break is just around the corner! Rollingwood Academy will be closed from April 14th through April 18th. We hope all of our families enjoy a restful, joyful, and safe break. Whether you're traveling or staying close to home, may your week be filled with sunshine, laughter, and special moments together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for more springtime fun!

Sure! Here's a polished and parent-friendly version of that message:

Police Demonstration – April 21st

We’re excited to share that on Monday, April 21st, all students will have the opportunity to enjoy a special police demonstration, including an engaging K-9 interaction! This event is being led by a local police officer who is also a proud parent of Rollingwood students!

If you prefer for your child not to participate, please let your child’s teacher know in advance so we can make alternative arrangements.

We’re looking forward to this fun and educational experience for our students!

Earth Day – April 22nd

At Rollingwood Academy, we believe in nurturing a love for nature and the world around us. On Monday, April 22nd, our students will take part in Earth Day activities designed to celebrate our beautiful planet. From nature walks and gardening to art projects using recycled materials, we’ll spend the day learning how small actions can make a big difference. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to explore, create, and connect with the Earth!

April – Month of the Military Child

April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of children in military families. At Rollingwood Academy, we are proud to support and celebrate these brave young individuals who play a special role in our community.

To show our appreciation, we invite all students and staff to wear purple on Thursday, April 25th for “Purple Up! Day”—a symbol of support and gratitude for military children everywhere. Let’s come together in a sea of purple to recognize their courage and the important role they play!

Teacher Appreciation Week Raffle

Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner — May 5–9!
Let’s show our AMAZING teachers just how much we love them!

Here’s how you can help:
Leave a Google review or Facebook review and give a shout-out to your child’s teacher(s).

For every teacher mentioned by name, they’ll get their name entered into a fun prize drawing during Teacher Appreciation Week!

Let’s fill their hearts (and inboxes!) with kind words and appreciation — because they truly deserve it!
